It was very cold and windy here today but the sun was shinning for the first time in a couple of days..Sweet fisherman was gone to a basketball game and I said OK...time to take a run out in the country and see what I can find to photograph....

Nothing seem to be catching my attention until I rounded a curve and found these darlings that are looking forward to spring so they can get a haircut....Really wish I could have that fiber but oh well I have too much already....

There was no where to pull off the road so I stopped right in the middle of the road and took these pictures.  I kept watch both ways for cars...don't worry I am very careful...

This little guy was close to the fence until he saw me and he started running..".Mama this woman is after me....."

Mama Kept eating "not to worry baby, she is harmless"

It was getting late but I saw this beautiful grove of trees...

And finally to return home to find Simon sitting at the window....Did he miss me...I don't think so because he was too busy dreaming about getting to the birds in the feeders outside...."He looked around and said "did you leave?"

Hugs and blessings,
Nancy

  1. I love your pictures, but I love your captions even more....very darling post!

Oh, and we stop in the middle of the road to get a good picture, too. Sometimes, we get so excited about finding something, we forget to check behind us and make sure we won't get rear-ended. lol The things we do for our blogs!!!

  4. Wonderful shots you got on your outing. I had to laugh at your stopping in the middle of the road. I do that all the time. A birder posted a bumper sticker on Facebook that said CAUTION! BIRDER ON BOARD. WATCH FOR FREQUENT STOPS! I think I need that one. lol

  13. Nancy---I love your photos---the one of the white sheep is extra special. And---Simon may not have missed you--or he may not want you to know that he did---and he may just be glad that you are thinking about the sheep for your knitting and not him. :)

  15. Cute, cute critters...We don't have any alpacas around here, or you would find me in the middle of the road taking pictures. I am sure that Mama could tell you were too sweet to cause her young'n any harm.

  16. Nancy, you really found some unexpected photo subjects on your outing and it is awful to see a great photo opp and then no where to park. It happens quite a bit on back roads around here, and ditches offer no pullovers. My favorite shot was the grove of trees with special effects from Mother Nature.
