New memes are always fun so when I saw that She Who Carries Camera had started one entitled
CREATIVE LICENSE FRIDAY, I thought it would be fun to participate...She offers one of her images to be processed anyway one chooses.

The original image...

I was having so much I processed two...

I started with Photoshop and added a texture from French Kiss multiplied 80%, added a mask, erased over the bird  and took the image to Lightroom 4 and added preset Fashion Shot IV.  I adjusted exposure, contrast, highlights and saturation.  (I think this is what I did).....

Photoshop, added one of Anna's textures Anna's Textures....She is incredibly generous so if you are not familiar with her textures, please go to her flickr site overlay 85% added a layer mask and erased over the bird..went to Lightroom 4....used preset
Fantasy Dress.....adjusted exposure, contrast, highlights, saturation, white and black.....
I hope this makes sense.....

Hugs and blessings,
Nancy

  1. This is just like you posted your blog in Spanish and I have never had a lesson in Spanish and the interpret button is turned off. I have no idea what you are talking about, but I love the three pictures. lol I guess that's all that's important. :)

  6. Nancy, you did a beautiful job on both! The painterly effect of the first one is pretty and the second edit appears as though there are sun rays shining down. Heavenly! What fun. I still need to work on mine, but I'm not that good with textures.

  7. Oh, we got a bonus...two!! The first one gives an old world feel, but I think I like the second one the best because I love how the rays of sunlight shed down and illuminate the bird. Very nice! And, thanks so much for playing along, Nancy! :-)

  9. I like both of your edits, but i especially like the second one because it looks like light is filtering through pine trees in the background. Thanks for the link to Anne's textures, I'll have to go check them out : )

  10. That is entirely beautiful. Your blog photos are amazing .One of my goals is to learn more about photography this year. I am contemplating a nice camera. Any suggestions are appreciated. Since I have just recently started blogging and blog at the moment through my cell phone all my blog photos are actually taken with my cell phone. Will start working from a lap top next month.
